CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

I have attended many continuing legal education seminars since coming to Nevada in 1974. I have also assisted the State Bar of Nevada, the Clark County Bar Association, the Collaborative Professionals of Nevada and other organizations in preparing seminars and also making presentations on several legal topics. In July, 1999, I enrolled in the Master of Judicial Studies Program at the University of Nevada Reno, a unique program done in cooperation with the National Judicial College and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. It is open only to judges. I have completed all of the course work and am working on my master?s thesis. During my first term in judicial office, I completed approximately 600 hours of continuing legal education.
